What they say....

Richly interesting village sited in the centre of Ovalau

This village is right in the heart of Ovalau, sited in the centre of an extinct volcanic cone, surrounded by the steep sides of the crater, lushly covered by greenery growing in the rich volcanic soil. All the plants seem to have their individual purpose, either for food, weaving or medicine. We were hosted, taught, able to swim in one of the swimming holes and our lunch was delicious local food, freshly collected. For a moment we joined the life of the village and were brought into our hosts family in a generous and easy way. Thank you all for your wonderful welcome. I strongly recommend this tour.  (Jaspar2014 - source Trip Advisor)

Best walking tour in Fiji

Was really looking forward to this day after reading about it in lonely planet and we were were not at all disappointed. Joanna was easy to contact and organised the day perfectly, including meeting us at our accommodation to brief us for the day ahead. We were taken up to Lovoni by Joanna’s nephew Joe and her son Semi, who were both extremely knowledgable about the trail, the plants and their medicinal uses. Joe even climbed up a coconut tree to give us all a well needed refreshing drink! The trek was well led and with the appropriate footwear, not too challenging.
Once we arrived in Lovoni we were greeted by other family members and taken to the Chief’s house to give our sevu sevu. After that we had a great swim in the river before a delicious lunch. By far the most authentic and delicious Fijian food we had all had!! The trip was finished with a tour around the village. (Jack B - source Trip Advisor)
